I Say, “You Are Spirit!”

Why People Are Ignorant Of Their True Selves
         We all know that spirits exist. We also know that there are spirits in the air, in the seas and on the land. The unfortunate thing is that we do not know that we, ourselves, are spirits. That is ignorance, darkness, described in the sacred texts. It is one of the veils that covers our mind and eyes, and prevent us from seeing and knowing the Truth. You are a spirit, which indwells, wears and drives the body!
         The only difference between you and other spirits is that while the others are only spirits, you have spirit body and human body. The human body is nothing, because at death it becomes a corpse. Jesus said clearly, “It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is of no avail; the words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” John 6:63
         Your ignorance of your spirit self is also the cause of your inability to perform as a spirit. All because you do not know your powers, rights and privileges. That is why you beg when you suppose to command; that is why you do not see in the dark, whereas the animals see at night. The worst thing is that you refuse to believe that you are a spirit, and even refuse the teachings of those who labour to help you know the Truth. And that is why you are ignorant, because you continue to ignore the Truth about yourself.
         For example, death is not death as we know it! It is only a change of state – like a passage through a door - from the physical to the spiritual. People fear death out of ignorance. The fear is all the more compounded by the untold suffering before and during the process of dying. Still, death, itself, is neither good nor bad; it is only a door.

What Is Spirit?
         Spirit is life. It is indestructible life. It is everlasting. It is light. It is love. It is unaffected by the ups and downs of our everyday life, though a person reaps what he sows.
         Weapons cannot destroy it. Hence, it is not destroyed when the body is destroyed. It is not harmed or damaged by accidents. It cannot be drowned or wet by water. Fire does not burn it. Knife cannot cut through it. Obstacles cannot block its movement. It cannot be buried or trampled upon. Nothing, except God, can destroy or harm it.

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Isaiah 43:1-2

         Sprit is the finest of the substance. It can appear or disappear. Hence, it is visible and can make it self invisible.
         It can see without the eyes, hear without ear, perceive without the nose, feel without touching etc.
         It moves at will. It can decide to crawl, walk, run, fly or appear and disappear. Such is the glory of God for his children. It animates and dominates all living things.

9 But as it is written:
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
1 Corinthians 2:91

Characteristics Of Your Spirit Self
         You, as spirit, have the following characteristics.
  1. You are spirit.
  2. You are first invisble.
  3. Then you are visible.
  4. You are light.
  5. You are breathe (air, wind or breeze).
  6. You are everlasting.
  7. You have sovereign will free will, free choice and personal responsibility.
  8. You are capable of movement, which include walking, running, flying, etc.
  9. You can change shape, size or colour.
  10. Every spirit is free indeed, because it is weightless. That is why it can appear or disappear.
  11. That is also the reason why it can move very fast, even at or more than the speed of light.
  12. You can pass through objects (barriers).
  13. Nothing can hold the spirit, except it permits and enables that thing to hold it, by attaching itself to that thing. It attaches itself to that thing by desiring for it, by paying attention to it, by refusing to leave that thing, and by working for that thing.
Spirit Is Wonderful
         Spirit is life. It is light; the light you see everyday. Hence, spirit is a consuming fire, light is fire. This spirit is your true self.

A spirit can see without the eye.
A spirit can hear without the ear.
A spirit can perceive without the nose.
A spirit can speak without the mouth.
A spirit can taste without the tongue.
A spirit can feel without the touching.
